Within the scope of the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality's 'Fruit Cultivation Development Project,' a total of 22,320 fruit saplings were provided to 188 producers in Ahmetli, Alaşehir, Gölmarmara, Kırkağaç, Sarıgöl, Saruhanlı, Turgutlu, and the Center.
In the project that concluded in the year 2023, a total of 116,410 fruit saplings were delivered to producers in 17 districts.
Under the leadership of Mayor Cengiz Ergün, who has consistently supported producers, the Metropolitan Municipality of Manisa provided olive, fig, walnut, and persimmon sapling support to producers in the districts of Ahmetli, Alaşehir, Gölmarmara, Kırkağaç, Sarıgöl, Saruhanlı, Turgutlu, and the Center. The 'Fruit Cultivation Development Project,' conducted by the Directorate of Rural Services, offered support with 22,320 fruit saplings to 188 producers. Expressing their satisfaction with the projects, producers, who received the fruit saplings from the teams of the Directorate of Rural Services, thanked Mayor Cengiz Ergün and his team for the assistance provided.
As part of the project, with a 75% grant from the Metropolitan Municipality, support for 116,410 olive, walnut, fig, and persimmon saplings was provided to 1,293 producers in 17 districts. It was emphasized that a record budget of 150 million Turkish liras was allocated for rural development in the year 2023, and it was stated that support would continue uninterrupted in 2024.
