44 million dollars of foreign currency was obtained from fish products
In the first 9 months of this year, 43 million 753 thousand 438 dollars of foreign currency inflow was obtained from fish meal and fish oil exports from Turkey.
While exports covering approximately 15 countries were mostly made to the Far East and European countries, this year's export figure increased slightly compared to the same period last year. In the 9-month period between January and September 2022, 43 million 417 thousand 807 dollars of foreign currency inflow was provided from the export of fish meal and oil equivalent to 15 million 329 thousand 559 kilograms from Turkey to approximately 15 countries. In the same period of 2023, a total of 43 million 753 thousand 438 dollars of foreign currency inflow was provided from the export of fish meal and oil, equivalent to 7 million 733 thousand 14 kilograms, while most of this figure was realized from the Eastern Black Sea region.
