A stubble fire that broke out at the foothills of Nenezi Mountain in the Gülağaç district of Aksaray spread to a forested area. The flames, which spread over 300 acres of land, caused dozens of trees to burn.

The fire started around 11:00 AM at the foothills of Nenezi Mountain in the Bekarlar village area of Gülağaç. According to reports, a farmer burned stubble on his agricultural land at the foot of the mountain. Due to the windy conditions, the stubble flames got out of control and spread to the forested area. While the trees in the forested area succumbed to the flames, Aksaray Forestry Management and Aksaray Municipality Fire Department teams were dispatched to the scene. The forest and fire teams arrived quickly and began working to control the fire. As firefighting efforts continue, villagers are also participating by using shovels to throw dirt on the flames. The gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the fire.
