ÇAYKUR announced that starting tomorrow, the daily tea purchasing quota, which had been reduced from 50 kilograms to 30 kilograms and then from 25 kilograms to 20 kilograms per decare, will be increased back to 25 kilograms per decare.
The General Directorate of Tea Enterprises (ÇAYKUR) had reduced the purchasing quotas per decare due to increasing demand, first from 50 kilograms to 30 kilograms and then to 25 kilograms. To process some of the tea in stock, ÇAYKUR temporarily suspended fresh tea purchases on Wednesday. ÇAYKUR had lowered the quota to 20 kilograms per decare as of today. However, ÇAYKUR informed producers via SMS that starting tomorrow, tea purchases will be made at a rate of 25 kilograms per decare.
In the SMS sent to producers, ÇAYKUR stated, “Dear producers, fresh tea purchases will be made at 25 kilograms per decare starting tomorrow (SUNDAY).”
