The "Turkey Republic's 100th-Year Agriculture and Forestry History Symposium" has begun in Ankara, led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The symposium will address the past, present, and future of agriculture in the Republic of Turkey. Additionally, discussions will cover the effects of societal transformation in agriculture and efforts to promote modern farming.
In his speech at the symposium, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı emphasized the necessity of thoroughly examining the trajectory of agriculture in the second century of the Republic of Turkey. He stated, "It is absolutely essential to document it academically. This is how memory is formed. Its value will be presented to future generations." The symposium, featuring the participation of academicians and students from various universities, will continue until December 20th.
