Muratpaşa Municipality, in collaboration with Antalya Orchids and Biodiversity Conservation Association (ANTOK) and Environmental, Economic, and Social Research Association (ÇETADER), applied for the grant with the AGIP project. The project has been awarded the substantial funding.
Under the AGIP project, Muratpaşa Municipality will form a platform consisting of 40 high school students from Muratpaşa. The students will receive various technical and workshop training based on pedagogical principles during the initial phase of the project.
The project aims to bring together young people, civil society organizations, public institutions, academics, and local residents to increase environmental awareness regarding climate change. It will run for 12 months and includes plans to create a thematic park named 'Gypsophila Park' in the Fener area of Muratpaşa, where climate change impacts will be communicated to the community.
