In the Bulanık district of Muş, harvesters working on barley and wheat were inspected by the Bulanık Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams.

Bulanık District Agriculture and Forestry Director Harun Korkmaz, along with agricultural engineers, visited farmers in their fields in the Erentepe Belde Gülçimen neighborhood, where the first harvest was taking place. Director Korkmaz, who inspected the harvesters working on barley and wheat in the towns and villages, expressed his hope that the first grain of the year would be prosperous and that they would have a healthy, accident-free season. He noted that Bulanık has significant agricultural potential, stating, "Bulanık has developed and has an important potential in agriculture and livestock. Our administrators and managers have carried out good work in the agricultural and livestock sectors. I wish our harvest season to be beneficial for our district and region."

Korkmaz mentioned that regular rainfall has led to an increase in yield, saying, "The rate of grain loss during inspections is very low, almost negligible. The Ministry of Agriculture's threshold for grain loss is 2%, and here it is much lower. The prices set by the agricultural chamber for harvesters are 180 TL for dry land and 190 TL for irrigated land. The containers for straw production, set at 2 tons, are 1,400 TL. This year, I wish for a year free from accidents, calamities, and fires for us and our friends. Approximately 1 million decares of land are being cultivated in Bulanık, with 60-70% being barley. We expect around 80-90 thousand tons of barley and close to 50 thousand tons of wheat. We anticipate a yield comparable to last year's."

Fariz Tabki, who has come to Bulanık with two harvesters from Batman, said they have been working in the Bulanık and Malazgirt regions for 18-20 years. He added, "Thankfully, we haven’t had any problems. The set prices are good and cover our costs. Hopefully, the farmers are also satisfied with the prices."
