Karaman Governor Hüseyin Engin Sarıibrahim participated in the watermelon harvest event held in the central village of Ortaoba.

Governor Sarıibrahim, who joined the harvest of watermelons grown with traditional heirloom seeds on the volcanic slopes of Karadağ, received information from the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Hatice Bulut, about the production of Ortaoba watermelon, which stands out for its pattern, aroma, durability, and unique taste. Sarıibrahim also participated in the harvest with the producers, emphasizing the importance of Ortaoba watermelon, which is produced from heirloom seeds and gains a distinct aroma from the minerals in the sandy soil, for preserving, developing, and passing on the region's agricultural heritage. He wished the producers abundant profits.

After the harvest, Governor Sarıibrahim met with local residents in the village center. During the visit, which was also attended by Provincial General Assembly Chairman Tamer Yıldızbaş, Governor Sarıibrahim received information from the village headman, Mehmet Kılınç, about the general condition of the village and listened to the needs and requests of the residents with whom he had a chat.
