With the first 'cemre' falling in Sarıgöl and its surroundings, the Sarıgöl Plain is experiencing a spring-like atmosphere as grape producers engage in intensive fieldwork such as double plowing, harrowing, underground fertilization, and animal manure application. Serhat Akkaya, a grape producer from Sarıgöl, said, 'The maintenance of the vineyards must be done very well in advance so that we can obtain high-quality grapes in the summer. Everyone in the Sarıgöl Plain is tirelessly completing the winter work in the vineyards.'
Highlighting the importance of winter maintenance of grape vineyards, Sarıgöl Chamber of Agriculture President Ali İhsan Ülgen stated, 'Every year, we take meticulous care of our grape vineyards. It is very important to adhere to good agricultural practices while performing maintenance in the vineyards.'
Ülgen added, 'There are grape vineyards covering an area of 113 thousand hectares in Sarıgöl and its surroundings, with 80% of the vineyards being covered at the beginning of the grape season.
