The 7-decare lavender garden planted in Yunusemre serves as a great example of alternative products for the local community.
Yunusemre Municipality, which contributes to the development of the Yuntdağı region through alternative product initiatives, sets an example for the local population with the lavender garden established in Ortaköy Neighborhood. Harvesting has begun in the 7-decare lavender garden. The harvest ceremony was attended by Yunusemre Mayor Semih Balaban, Deputy Mayors Cengiz Balkan and Ali Gök, Yunusemre City Council Member Yelda Çevikoğlu, department heads, and relevant staff.
During the lavender harvest ceremony, Yunusemre Mayor Semih Balaban stated that the lavender plant is a great example for rural development. Mayor Balaban said, 'The harvest time has arrived for the lavender garden established by Yunusemre Municipality in Ortaköy Neighborhood. Our lavender plants grown on a 7-decare area are a great example of alternative products. The lavender plant has many benefits. This is a good example of Yunusemre Municipality’s commitment to and support for agriculture. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the cultivation of this garden.'
