Lavender harvesting has begun in Hasankeyf

In the Hasankeyf district of Batman, lavender harvesting has begun in the agricultural trial and demonstration area. Lavender was harvested in the demonstration garden set up to serve as a model for local farmers. The goal is to produce products such as lavender cologne, lavender oil, lavender soap, and similar items from the harvested lavender. Hasankeyf District Governor Mehmet Ali İmrak also inspected the lavender harvesting activities for 2024 on-site.
