Since the beginning of the fishing season in the Black Sea, mackerel and horse mackerel have not been abundant on the counters, while there has been an abundance of anchovies. After the effective storm in recent days, horse mackerel has taken its place on the counters at 50 lira per kilogram. Tuncay Kılıç, a fisherman from Düzce, said, 'Horse mackerel has started to appear lately. Anchovies are also available. We started a campaign so that people can easily access fish and eat more comfortably.'
Kılıç, who mentioned the abundance of anchovies in the Black Sea, said, 'There is no anchovy in the Sea of Marmara; it comes out in the Black Sea. We are hopeful for the coming days. We went through a major weather adversity. We are starting to return to normal now.'
On the counter, anchovies are sold for 70 lira, horse mackerel for 50 lira, showcase red mullet for 250 lira, red mullet for 120 lira, red porgy for 200 lira, and salmon for 200 lira per kilogram. Gilt-head bream is sold for 120 lira each, sea bass for 130 lira, and mackerel for 50 lira each.
