While the Pomegranate Festival, held for the 4th time this year in Bilecik's İnhisar district, created colorful images, fun moments were experienced with exciting races.
With the start of the pomegranate harvest in İnhisar district, the Pomegranate Festival was also held. Before the festival, Governor Şefik Aygöl met with Nar-İnhisar Women's Cooperative. Governor Aygöl, who examined the local products produced by the Women of Inhisar, conveyed his congratulations and support.
In addition to Governor Aygöl, Bilecik Deputy Halil Eldemir, AK Party Bilecik Provincial Chairman Serkan Yıldırım and institution chiefs, Provincial General Assembly Chairman Osman Yılmaz and Provincial Special Administration General Secretary Seda Bayrakçı attended the festival. In his speech here, Governor Aygöl stated that "He lives on fertile lands and Bilecik ranks first with 51 percent in terms of irrigation rates of agricultural lands in the country."
Governor Aygöl offered pomegranates to the citizens at the festival with his own hands.
While the festival witnessed colorful scenes, the "Fastest Pomegranate Slicing and Pomegranate Squeezing" competitions held among the students gave the audience enjoyable moments. The awards to the winners of the competitions were presented by Governor Aygöl.
