The veterinary doctors of the Koçarlı District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry continue their uninterrupted vaccination and inspection activities throughout the district. Within this framework, the veterinarians, who are deployed in the field, carry out a range of tasks including farm inspections and tests for combating epidemic diseases, compliance tests for facilities that have gained disease-free status, inspections of milking units for farms receiving milk subsidies, inspections of wetland areas for inland fisheries, road controls in cooperation with the District Gendarmerie Command to prevent illegal movements of animals and animal products, administering foot-and-mouth disease vaccines to cattle, tagging untagged animals to register them, and implanting microchips along with rabies vaccines for cats and dogs. The teams, which operate full-time in the field, continue to provide uninterrupted service in villages, earning the appreciation of producers.
