The stubble fire that started near Üvecik village in the Ezine district of Çanakkale spread to a forested area due to the effect of the wind.

Firefighting teams are responding to the blaze from both the air and the ground.

The fire started around 4:30 PM in an agricultural field near Üvecik village in the Ezine district of Çanakkale. The fire quickly spread over a large area due to the wind. Upon notification, teams from the Çanakkale Forest Regional Directorate were dispatched to the area. As the fire spread to the forested area, the teams are combating the flames from both the air and the ground.
