In Sinop, with the end of the fishing ban, the fishermen's nets were filled with bonito fish as they went out to sea.
The fishing ban, which began on April 15th in Turkey, ended on September 1st. Following the lifting of the ban, fishermen from Sinop set out to sea with a 'Vira Bismillah' (a traditional phrase used when starting a fishing expedition). The fishermen began catching the first fish of the new season by casting their nets into the sea in the early hours of the morning. As they pulled in their first nets, they caught a large amount of bonito fish, indicating a strong start to the season.
While the fishermen operating off the coast of Türkeli, Sinop, were smiling, it was observed that the nets were full of bonito fish.
