The high yield in the wheat harvest in the Kozan district of Adana brought smiles to the faces of farmers.
Farmers in the district completed their first wheat harvest. Producers are very pleased with the high yield. Last year, farmers noted that wheat was sold for 7-8 TL per kilogram, while this year, they expect prices to be around 11-12 TL.
Starting the harvest on 100 acres of land in Kozan, Muzaffer Bozol expressed that the yield is very good, saying, "This year, I planted on 100 acres of land. We are getting a yield of 670 kilograms per acre. Prices were low last year, around 7 TL per kilogram. Our expectation for this year is that if prices reach 11-12 TL, it will be good for us. The intermittent rains this year have been good for the wheat. A fruitful season has begun."
