Aliağa Municipality supports producers with 18,600 saplings

The Municipality of Aliağa distributed 18,600 walnut and almond saplings across the district to support producers and increase agricultural production.

Continuing its "Agricultural Development and Support to Producers" project, the municipality distributed a total of 18,600 walnut and almond saplings to producers in all neighborhoods. The sapling distribution, named "Abundance in Production, Support to Our Producers," began in Yeni Şakran and concluded in Siteler Mahallesi, covering various neighborhoods.

The distribution program, organized by the Aliağa Municipality Parks and Gardens Department, delivered a total of 18,600 walnut and almond saplings to producers throughout Aliağa.

Producers and neighborhood muhtars (local leaders) showed intense interest in the sapling distributions by the Municipality of Aliağa. They expressed gratitude, stating that such support is crucial and well-timed for producers.

Şenol Yoldaş, the muhtar of Çaltılıdere, said, "This kind of sapling support is beneficial for our farmers. Our farmers plant the saplings in their fields and generate income. Last year, olive sapling support was provided. This year, support for almonds and walnuts was given. Hopefully, such support for our small farmers will continue in the coming years. We farmers are very pleased. Our people are also satisfied. I thank Mayor Serkan Acar of Aliağa Municipality very much."

Suat Ural, the muhtar of Hacıömerli, mentioned, "The free distribution of these saplings is really good for the producer." Selim Erkmen, who attended the sapling distribution in Yeni Şakran, said, "It's a very good service. The saplings I ordered have arrived; I will take my walnut and almond saplings. I will plant them in the soil as soon as possible. I thank the Municipality of Aliağa, especially for their agricultural efforts."

Adil Çağlar, the Director of Aliağa Municipality Parks and Gardens, expressed satisfaction with the interest and attention shown by Aliağa producers in the sapling distributions. He mentioned that as part of the 'Agricultural Development and Support to Producers' project, they distributed olive saplings last year and are now distributing walnut and almond saplings.

Adil Çağlar also highlighted that a 'Agricultural Development and Producer Consultation Office' has been established under the Aliağa Municipality Parks and Gardens Directorate. All citizens in Aliağa can continuously receive technical support from the agricultural consultation office.
