The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released the December 2023 Poultry Production Statistics. Accordingly, chicken meat production amounted to 200,333 tons, while chicken egg production reached 1.86 billion units.
In December, compared to the same month of the previous year, chicken egg production increased by 6.3 percent, the number of slaughtered chickens decreased by 0.9 percent, chicken meat production decreased by 0.4 percent, and turkey meat production decreased by 1.5 percent. In the January-December period, compared to the same period of the previous year, chicken egg production increased by 4.2 percent, the number of slaughtered chickens decreased by 5.7 percent, chicken meat production decreased by 3.7 percent, and turkey meat production decreased by 11.3 percent.
Chicken meat production, which was 202,143 tons in the previous month, decreased by 0.9 percent in December to 200,333 tons.
Chicken egg production, which was 1,799,656 million units in the previous month, increased by 3.1 percent in December to 1,855,505 million units.
