The General Manager of the Black Sea Oilseeds Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union (KARADENİZBİRLİK), Ünal Erarslan, announced that a total of 446 million TL was paid to producers through the purchase of 36 thousand tons of oilseed sunflower by the Union in 2023.

The General Manager of the Black Sea Oilseeds Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union (KARADENİZBİRLİK), Ünal Erarslan, stated, 'In 2023, the Union purchased 36 thousand tons of oilseed sunflower, making a total payment of 446 million TL to producers.' Providing information about the activities in 2023, General Manager Ünal Erarslan said, 'In 2023, our Union purchased 36 thousand tons of sunflower, making a total payment of 446 million TL to producers. Also, for oilseed plantings in 2023, we distributed a total of 84 million TL in credit to producer partners, including 33 million TL in cash credit before planting and 51 million TL in-kind. Improvement and technological revision works will continue in 2024. In the coming periods, efforts will be made to increase the yield per unit area and improve the oil content of oilseed sunflower seeds in production activities. Ongoing efforts aim to ensure that the producer segment can consistently achieve sufficient income for continued production. In this context, significant support from the state is required.'
