The water efficiency mobilization is boosting Çankırı's agricultural production

Dr. Hüseyin Düzgün, Director of Agriculture and Forestry for the province, stated, "We know that once these projects are completed in the upcoming periods, Çankırı will achieve great advancements in agricultural production."

The "Water Efficiency Mobilization" initiated under the leadership of Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, aims to conserve natural resources and is being successfully implemented in Çankırı. With the construction of ponds and dams across the city, agricultural irrigation in Çankırı has reached a new level. The "Water Efficiency Mobilization" also aims to raise awareness among farmers. The efforts led by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry aim to prevent inefficient irrigation practices. The completion of ongoing irrigation projects and promoting more efficient water use among farmers are expected to elevate Çankırı's agricultural production.

Speaking to an IHA reporter, Dr. Hüseyin Düzgün, Director of Agriculture and Forestry for Çankırı, highlighted their efforts to use water efficiently on agricultural lands.

"We are striving to use water efficiently in agriculture."

Dr. Hüseyin Düzgün emphasized their efforts to save water, stating, "Under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan, the 'Water Efficiency Mobilization' initiated across our country is being effectively implemented in our province. To use water efficiently on the fields, we are moving away from inefficient irrigation practices and implementing projects like sprinkler, drip, and closed irrigation systems. Climate change is a global reality. Fortunately, our province is producing high-quality irrigation projects, with large ponds built in many villages and significant dams and large-scale projects underway. We know that once these projects are completed, Çankırı will achieve significant advancements in agricultural production. By using water efficiently and economically, we aim to create a foundation where both our farmers can profit and we can conserve our water resources," he said.
