EU-supported beef cattle farm in Kütahya
During the visit, Kütahya Governor Musa Işın emphasized Kütahya's significant advantages in agriculture and stated that they are making efforts to leverage these advantages. He mentioned that the project received approximately 5.5 million Turkish Lira in support from TKDK through a 70% grant. Işın noted that the farm is a small sample for the agriculture-based Organized Industrial Zone being developed in Aslanapa, saying, "The smallest unit of that facility will be as large as this one. Therefore, scientifically, animal husbandry, agriculture, and fruit growing are among our important duties and goals. Hopefully, we will also achieve a significant place in agriculture."
TKDK Kütahya Provincial Coordinator Birsen Karaaslan highlighted that TKDK has been carrying out significant activities in Kütahya since 2013. "Our facility here is a large-scale red meat production plant with a capacity of 82 cattle. Its special feature is that a young farmer under 40 is implementing modern methods to make an efficient and productive investment in Kütahya while traditionally raising cattle. Our goal is to support especially young people under 40 and women entrepreneurs," Karaaslan said.
Ahmet Yılman, one of the founders of the facility, stated that they have transitioned to a fully semi-automatic system, which has improved both the comfort of the animals and their own comfort.
Kütahya AK Party Deputy İsmail Çağlar Bayırcı said, "We are concerned with increasing such facilities in Kütahya. We also have dreams of establishing a larger Kütahya. We will work harder to achieve this."
The visit was attended by Kütahya Governor Musa Işın, Kütahya Mayor Eyüp Kahveci, AK Party Kütahya Deputy İsmail Çağlar Bayırcı, AK Party Kütahya Provincial Chairman Mustafa Önsay, Provincial General Assembly Chairman Muammer Özcura, Kütahya Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Emre Yeniay, and Zafer Development Agency Secretary General Kutlu Eser.
