Summer has arrived, and prices in the market have fallen

With the Arrival of Summer, Fruit and Vegetable Prices in Kayseri Markets Have Decreased With the arrival of summer, fruit and vegetable prices have dropped in local markets across different areas of the city. The decrease in prices has increased the activity in the markets. Ibrahim Yılmaz, a market vendor, commented on the seasonal price drops, saying: "Prices in the market have dropped significantly. With summer coming, prices have fallen. Only cucumbers are fluctuating a bit. This is because some are nearing the end of their season while others are just beginning. Tomatoes have dropped to 15 TL. Our local tomatoes are 25 TL. The prices of our peppers, eggplants, and zucchinis have decreased. So, prices have dropped according to the season. Good quality fruit is still somewhat expensive. Additionally, there has been a good fruit harvest this year. Everyone has fruit in their gardens and orchards, so there is no shortage of fruit. Last week, apricots were 60 TL, but now they have dropped to 35 TL. Fruit prices are falling because there is an abundance. For prices: eggplants are 20 TL, zucchinis are 25 TL, peppers are 30 TL, tomatoes are 15 TL, cucumbers are 30 TL, and local tomatoes are 25 TL. For fruit, apricots are 35 TL, Tarsus grapes, which have just started, are 65 TL, and peaches from Bursa are 65 TL per kilo. We also have peaches at 30 TL, although these are from Mersin and are not as tasty. The ones from Bursa are sweeter. Our market offers quality and daily freshness. While these products are sold in supermarkets over a week, we sell them daily."
