Deputy Director General of Livestock, Melikşah Taşkın, mentioned determining which products or product groups will be produced, taking into account the supply and demand quantity of products, protecting supply security in strategic products, and preventing oversupply or shortages by determining minimum and maximum production quantities according to the country's needs. Deputy Director General of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Mehmet Nuri Yılmaz, stated, "As part of agricultural production planning, we will continue our production-oriented development initiative with all stakeholders nationwide through consultations, aiming to ensure food security and safety, increase productivity, preserve the environment, and achieve sustainability. By implementing the policies outlined in the Medium-Term Program and the 12th Development Plan in an effective coordination and teamwork effort, we will try to implement them nationwide. In line with our ministry's policies, agricultural, livestock, and aquatic products production is shaped around five axes: registration, quality, productivity, investment in the sector, and sustainability. For this purpose, changes are being made to laws numbered 5488 and 5403 to introduce production planning, contract production, registration, and sustainability, and new policies are being developed. With the implementation of a regional stable growth agricultural production planning model, it is aimed to produce strategic products in the most appropriate location, optimize resource use, increase productivity, prevent our producers from experiencing marketing problems during harvest periods, contribute to the increase in welfare levels, and ensure the sustainable use of our natural resources by considering climate change, with a focus on water-centered production planning."
