Uşak shines in agricultural production
Uşak has become one of the five provinces holding significant importance in agricultural production.
Uşak ranks among the top five provinces in Turkey for the production of various agricultural products including black cumin, thyme, sage, sesame, poppy, sugar beet, Hungarian vetch, and tobacco. Uşak ranks first in black cumin production with 2,614 tons harvested from 25,850 hectares, first in thyme with 1,379 tons harvested from 9,928 hectares, first in sage with 504 tons harvested from 2,045 hectares, second in sesame with 2,878 tons harvested from 37,378 hectares, second in poppy with 1,365 tons harvested from 37,378 hectares, and second in sugar beet with 7,111 tons harvested from 1,215 hectares. Additionally, Uşak ranks third in Hungarian vetch production with 51,526 tons harvested from 33,520 hectares, and fourth in tobacco production with 9,677 tons harvested from 105,030 hectares.
