In Erzincan, harvesting operations are continuing with combine harvesters in cereal fields. The harvest of wheat, which is a key raw material for many products in Turkey's food sector and holds strategic importance, is ongoing in Erzincan. After receiving sufficient rainfall in the spring and avoiding drought, wheat yields have increased. As temperatures rise and wheat matures, the harvest season is in full swing. Some farmers are plowing their fields while others are using machines to convert their harvested crops into wheat and straw. Farmers are producing wheat and straw with potato harvesting machines. The harvest operations conducted by combine harvesters are closely monitored by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry to prevent potential issues, such as grain loss. Producers have noted that, like last year, there has been an increase in cereal cultivation areas across Erzincan this year.
