In Kilis, as the Eid al-Adha approaches, small livestock sacrificial animals are being showcased in the animal markets, leading to increased activity. Ahead of the Eid al-Adha festival, there is a bustling atmosphere in the live animal market in Kilis center. Visitors from all over the city are creating a significant presence in the small livestock market. Prices for small livestock range from 9,000 TL to 25,000 TL, while prices for large livestock vary between 70,000 TL and 300,000 TL.
Kadir Payam, an animal seller, mentioned that the market is seeing increased activity as the festival nears, stating, "The sacrificial season has arrived. We have brought small and large livestock to the market, including both female and male animals. The price for a female sheep ranges from 175 to 190 TL per kilogram, with an average female sheep finding buyers between 9,000 and 15,000 TL. Male 'toklu' Van white purple sheep, as we address them, are selling between 220 and 230 TL per kilogram, with a single male animal fetching between 13,000 and 25,000 TL. The domestic small livestock we brought to the market are priced between 240 and 250 TL each. As for the large livestock, 'düve' cows are priced between 70,000 and 130,000 TL, and cattle are being sold for between 90,000 and 300,000 TL."
