There is activity in the sacrificial animal markets

As the Eid al-Adha approaches, there is increased activity in the animal markets in Şanlıurfa, one of Turkey's leading livestock centers. Breeders have started bringing their carefully raised sacrificial animals to the live animal market in the Eyyübiye district to sell them. While small livestock find buyers at prices starting from 14,000 to 20,000 Turkish lira, the prices for large livestock vary between 130,000 to 190,000 Turkish lira.

Ramazan Gül, the President of the Şanlıurfa Large Livestock Market Association, mentioned that the market is sluggish due to the high prices of large livestock. Despite the approaching holiday, he noted that there isn't a significant rush.

Halil Yıldız, a seller of large livestock, commented, "The prices are normal. The animals are not too expensive. The prices of animals are not high considering the economic situation. However, there is a general increase in prices today. Due to high input costs, this situation also affects the prices of sacrificial animals. Sales are a bit slow. We are waiting for our citizens, hopefully, they will come and buy their sacrificial animals. The first ones to come will get the best pick."

Hasan Topal, one of the citizens looking at sacrificial animals in the market, expressed, "I came with my child. I can't afford to buy because the prices are high. The price of a small livestock is around 20,000 Turkish lira. I will have to go back without buying."
